The Wallace County Summer Recreation Program is making plans for a fun 2008 season.
We would love to have enough kids from Weskan to have both Weskan teams and Sharon Springs / Wallace teams. If not, the children will be incorporated on one team. Coaches will be encouraged to have one practice each week rather than two which should improve the travel demands for each family. At this time, we need to get an idea of who is interested in playing so we can create teams and schedules.
The current age breakdowns are as follows: T-ball is 4, 5, and 6 years old, Minors 7-9, Majors 10-12. All teams may be co-ed but we’d like to have enough to have a boy’s team and a girl’s team for each. Ages are as of Sept 1, 2006. Children may move up in an age category but not down. Player fees will be as follows: $15 / 1 child, $25 / 2 children, $30 / 3 children or $40 for a family with more than three playing. If the fees are a concern for any family, please let us know so that we can make alternate arrangements. Please indicate if your child would like to play.
